AI in Procurement – Support or Competition?

Artificial intelligence is no longer just an add-on; it’s a tool that genuinely supports us in our daily work and business. According to KPMG’s 2024 report, 28% of Polish companies have implemented AI-powered tools, and another 30% plan to adopt them within the coming months.
Despite this, as many as 65% of companies using AI do not monitor the effectiveness of these solutions.

What does this mean for procurement?
In this field, three things have always mattered: time, money, and quality.

Time – AI can prepare requests for proposals and analyze hundreds of offers in seconds, giving us space for other activities.
Money – Algorithms can predict price trends, detect errors, and help achieve real savings.
Quality – AI helps maintain high quality through precise and repeatable processes.

The key factor remains – the HUMAN
No technology can replace a negotiation at the table, building trust, or human intuition. Business has always been about RELATIONSHIPS.

So the question is:

Is AI in procurement a competitor for buyers, or rather a support that allows them to focus on what truly matters – relationships and strategic decisions?

The future lies in the partnership between humans and technology.
